The Ministry of Acts 2:38

“11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?” John 3 NIV

In 2016, my Acts 2:38 ministry took on a different “lure” to seek fish hungry for the Holy Spirit.  God led us to a mixed martial arts training facility called National Martial Arts in South Oklahoma City.  In alliance with the owner Michael South and his partner Noah Parkman, we held weekly, free mixed martial arts training in Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muai-Thai Boxing and finished the evening with open fellowship in the loving name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This online website is a record of the power of the Holy Spirit through our humble ministry via Acts 2:38.  It is a testimony of the similarities between what is seen and what is unseen, what is physical to what is spiritual or as Jesus said, to what is “earthly” in relation to what is “heavenly”.

Lesson 1: The TRUTH to God’s grace.

  1. If we don’t accept grace, the law remains.
  2. Accepting “grace” is understanding that Calvary paid the debt of “sin” in FULL, however the debt of “love” still remains.  Faith without works is dead, however these “works” are not the sacrificial/religious Old Testament “works”, but instead, “works” led by a new covenant of love that are without expectations other than the joy it brings one to give cheerfully and without any hesitation or reluctance.
  3. Grace is unfair.  The earlier we embrace that, the better.  I pray this does not shatter your faith in doing good.   Remember, anything that we genuinely love doing, we will find a way to continue to do it, regardless the outcome or the reward.   Love never takes “NO” for an answer.
  4. Lastly, there is one downfall to God’s grace, and that is we can ALL have the blessings of the Holy Spirit “with us”, and still NOT possess the Holy Spirit “in us”.  So may we desire to understand the difference between God “above us”, God “with us” and finally, God “in us”.   This is the mystery of the Trinity, and the wisdom of the new covenant via Acts 2:38.  Desire the latter, it is not only the most intimate relationship we can have of the three, but it also guarantees our place in the blessed “rapture”.

On behalf of the least in the Kingdom of God and The Bride of Christ, God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.
